Empowerment of K.Gat young generation by providing every child with an opportunity for development of his or her talent and, abilities; Encouragement of excellence and utilization of child's potential; All this through cultivation of family and social ties, creation of supporting framework and motivating learning environment.

Goals and Objectives
Today, there is a lot discussion going on about the growing gap between Israel periphery and center. In particular, that in periphery there is a shortage in educational opportunities, accessibility to high education, deficiency in Job market, lack of art and cultural activities, and in fact clear inequality in all spheres of life.
As a local organization, we are aware of these problems and especially to the young generation's difficulty to overcome these obstacles in order to grow and succeed. Since its establishment, Afek set empowerment of the young generation as its' major goal, as every child deserves an equal chance to develop and grow. We believe that investment in young generation is a first step towards a social change and creation of healthy and stable community in periphery, one that is able to control its own future.
Thus our programs work for advancement of education, development of arts and culture, reduction of inequality in education. Among our goals, work with at risk youth, disadvantaged families, early childhood education, strengthening of parent – child ties, Jewish identity programs promoting pluralistic approach, reduction of social gaps, integration between new immigrants and native Israeli residents.
